End of Tier 1 (General) and Tier 1 (PSW) – how it affects employers

On 5 April 2011 the Tier 1 (General) category was stopped for new applicants. And from 5 April 2015 Tier 1 (General) visa holders will no longer be able to extend their visas which effectively means these visa holders, once they get their last Tier 1 extension, must either qualify for ILR (so cannot spend a lot of time out of the UK) or leave the UK for good.
