LanguageCert tests approved as Secure English Language Tests

LanguageCert’s suite of tests has received official approval from UK Visa and Immigration Authority as Secure English Language Tests

They will become a trusted choice for both student and work visa applications, making LanguageCert's suite of tests highly sought after. The Academic test has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of educational institutions. These tests will be available for use starting from the 19th of December 2023.

Marios Molfetas, the chief languages officer at LanguageCert, expressed the significance of this achievement during the UK ENIC conference in early December. "These examinations are designed to reflect real-life scenarios," he stated.

The tests will be conveniently administered through the existing LanguageCert SELT Centre Network, utilizing highly secure test technology. Furthermore, an online version of the tests will be made available in early 2024.

The development of the Academic test was a direct response to the demand from institutions seeking an evaluation that effectively assesses English proficiency within an academic environment, as announced.

LanguageCert confirms that the General SELT test aligns with CEFR standards and is intended for individuals applying for UK Skilled Worker and Health and Care Worker visas.

LanguageCert also confirms that the current LanguageCert test approved for UKVI purposes, the ESOL 4-skills SELT provision for work and study, will remain approved until further notice.

Lastly, it is worth noting that the tests undergo independent evaluation by UK ENIC.
