Our Guidance on EU SETTLED AND NON-SETTLED STATUS
Following Brexit on 31st December 2020, EU nationals, other than those from the Republic of Ireland, were no longer entitled to freedom of movement within the UK. Those able to show they were in the UK before this date exercising their EU rights, must “lock in” this right. Those here over five years should apply for settled status and those here for less than five years should apply for non-settled status.
The opportunity to apply for this status comes to an end on 30th June 2021.
Employers of EU workers must check that they have successfully been granted this status in order to continue employing them. Our experts can show you how to check this.
