Eligibility

To be eligible for the visa, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old.
  • if you have successfully applied for an endorsement to prove that you are a leader or potential leader.

What if I am not eligible for a Global Talent Visa, are there other ways to work in the UK?

Yes, for example, a Skilled Worker visa.

How long can I stay in the UK with the Global Talent Visa?

You can live and work in the UK for up to 5 years at a time.

Can I stay for longer than 5 years?

There’s no limit to how long you can stay in the UK in total, but you will need to renew (‘extend’) your visa when it expires. Each extension can last from 1 to 5 years.

Does this visa lead to settlement?

You may be able to get indefinite leave to remain so you can settle in the UK after 3 or 5 years, depending on which field you work in and how you apply.

How long does it take to get a decision?

3 weeks, if you’re outside the UK

8 weeks, if you’re inside the UK

How much does a Global Talent visa application cost?

It costs £716 to apply.
