Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for a Scale-up Worker Visa, applicants must:
- Have a confirmed job offer from an approved scale-up business.
- Obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship from their employer.
- Work in an eligible occupation, now expanded to include AI, fintech, green tech, and cybersecurity.
- Meet the minimum salary requirement, which has increased to £36,000 per year or £10.75 per hour.
- Demonstrate English proficiency at B2 level under the CEFR framework.
Application Process

Prepare Required Documents:
- Proof of employment (contracts, payslips).
- Certificate of Sponsorship from employer.
- Financial documents proving ability to support oneself.
- Valid passport with at least six months’ validity.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test results, if required.

- Apply online via the UK Home Office website.
- Pay the £880 application fee.
- Schedule a biometric appointment for fingerprinting and identity verification.

Visa Decision & Travel:
- Processing time: 3 weeks if applying outside the UK, 8 weeks if applying inside.

Rights & Responsibilities
- Work Flexibility: After 6 months, workers can change jobs without needing a new visa.
