Minimum salaries for all SOC Codes have been reviewed.
Every couple of years or so the MAC (Migration Advisory Committee) review and make changes to the minimum salaries that must be paid to sponsored workers.
This time round most of the salary requirements have gone up slightly but there are a couple of significant changes and anomalies, as follows:
Chief Execs – New entrant rate goes up from £35,200 to £41,900 p.a. while the Experienced worker rate goes up from £52,900 to £60,000 p.a.
Advertising and PR directors – Experienced worker rate comes down from £46,000 to £40,200 p.a.
IT & Telecoms directors – New entrant rate goes up from £32,300 to £42,500 p.a. while the Experienced worker rate goes down from £75,500 to £55,600 p.a.
Veterinarians – Experienced worker rate comes down from £35,800 to £32,300 p.a.
Good news for some of our clients!
One other change is to the “High Earner” category, for whom the minimum salary increases from £155,300 to £159,600.
