When it comes to sponsor licence compliance you need a service you can trust. New arrangements for Skilled Workers with a CoS assigned on or after the 4th of April 2024, and the transitional arrangements, have created added complexity for sponsors.
Please remember that all sponsors must have HR systems to record workers' right-to-work and visa expiry dates, track attendance and keep their contact details regularly updated. Any changes to the sponsor organisation or their workers’ situation must be reported to the UKVI via the SMS.
All of our clients benefit from our bespoke Admin and Compliance package for 12 months as part of our sponsor licence assistance service, and the vast majority opt to continue receiving this service from us thereafter for instant access to expert advice, management of their SMS and reassurance that they will remain compliant and retain their ‘A’ rating.

Reporting Responsibilities
Please remember that sponsors must have HR systems in place to monitor workers' immigration status, track attendance, visa expiry date, update contact details, and report any changes to UKVI via the SMS.
The following changes should be reported within 10 working days:
- a sponsored worker does not start the role for which you are sponsoring them within 28 days
- a sponsored worker is absent from work without your permission for more than 10 consecutive working days
- a sponsored worker is absent from work without pay, or on reduced pay, for more than 4 weeks in total in any calendar year
- a sponsored worker’s salary or pay is otherwise reduced from the level stated on their CoS
- there are significant changes to the details of the worker’s employment, such as a change of job role, job title or core duties, or a promotion, provided the change is within the same occupation code
- a sponsored worker’s normal work location changes
- you stop sponsoring a worker for any reason
These more significant changes to the organisation should be reported within 20 working days:
- your organisation ceases to stop trade or becomes insolvent
- the nature of the business changes significantly
- it is involved in a merger or take-over
- changes that affect your relationship with any overseas businesses that have sent workers to you
- changes to a contract covering secondment workers or service suppliers
- changes of address
- The AO is leaving the organisation or going on long term leave
