Discovering Britain: Easy Access for Citizens of Colombia, Guyana, and Peru.
In the name of improved trade, diplomatic relations, and tourism, citizens of Colombia, Guyana, and Peru are being made non-visa nationals.
The Explanatory Memorandum to the Statement of Changes in Immigration Rules (HC719), presented to Parliament on 18th October 2022 states that "Citizens of Colombia, Guyana, and Peru are being made non-visa nationals. This
means they will no longer have to obtain a visit visa before coming to the UK and can be examined and granted entry on arrival."
How does the change impact you?
From Colombia, Guyana, or Peru, then you no longer have to obtain a visit visa before coming to the United Kingdom. You can be granted entry when you arrive in the United Kingdom.
We do recommend that you travel with information about your circumstances in your home country and can confirm details of the activity you will be doing in the UK.
The Border Officer may want to know or see evidence to show-
- what you will be doing in the UK, the reason for your visit and whether any costs are being met.
- if you are travelling for business, please carry any letters from inviting or sending organisations with you to present if asked to do so.
- previous travel documents or passports which show your previous travel.
- confirmation of legal residence, if you are not a national of the country in which you are applying or your right to reside there is not included in your passport.
- financial documents showing that you have sufficient funds available for your trip and any onward travel from the United Kingdom.
