IHS Increase Imminent
On January 15, 2024, Parliament approved the draft Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2023. This development means there will be upcoming increases to the Immigration Health Surcharge in the coming weeks.
To avoid these increases and their impact on your application, it is highly recommended that you submit your application before 5th February 2024.
The new yearly rate will vary depending on the immigration category you are applying under, and it is essential to consider that the Immigration Health Surcharge is calculated based on the length of the immigration permission granted, rounding up in six-month increments.
The decision of whether to apply before the rise will depend on various factors, including whether the applicant is exempt from paying the charge, the availability of a certificate of sponsorship for sponsored work routes, the start date of a sponsored role, and how the timing of an application may impact the expiry date of the granted permission.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes and how they may affect you and your business, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can call us at 01403 801801 or email at [email protected]
Don't miss out on the opportunity to avoid these increases and their impact on your application. Submit your application before 5th February 2024, to take advantage of the current rates.
